Jesus Christ is the Head of this church.
We believe our ultimate authority, direction, and covering are found in Him. Obedience does not belong to a personality, a pastor, or a platform. It belongs to Jesus.

We often say that we are “the church,” but we are not building a normal church. We are not affiliated with any one stream, denomination, or movement. We honor what God has done through many different expressions of the Church, but we believe He is doing something new in this hour.

We believe God is creating a new stream in the desert—something fresh that is not about recreating a past model, but about responding to what He is doing now. We are excited and humbled to be part of the new thing God is building.

At the same time, we believe there is wisdom in Godly counsel, shared discernment, accountability, and prayer. Behind Obedience is a growing team of trusted believers who pray, counsel, encourage, challenge, discern, and help carry what God is building.

Overseers & Elders
We are surrounded by spiritually mature believers who help provide wisdom, accountability, discernment, and biblical counsel as Obedience grows. Some of these leaders have been involved in past moves of God that impacted not only America, but also the world, and we deeply value the wisdom and perspective they carry.

We do not view these relationships as replacing the leadership of Jesus or creating a hierarchy between believers. Their role is to help us remain faithful to Scripture, attentive to the Holy Spirit, and accountable in the stewardship of what God has entrusted to us.

There is one Head of the Church: Jesus. We are all stewards under Him.

Prayer Warriors & Intercessors
Before anything is seen publicly, there is prayer. We believe prayer is not simply something that happens during a gathering. It is part of the foundation upon which everything else is built.

Hospitality Team
We want people to encounter the love of Jesus from the moment they walk through the door. Our hospitality team is designed to help create an atmosphere where people are welcomed, seen, cared for, and free to encounter God—whether that means greeting someone at the door, preparing the room, helping a first-time guest, serving behind the scenes, or simply noticing the person who may otherwise go unnoticed.

To us, hospitality is more than making a room feel welcoming. It is ministry.
We are building a culture where no role is about status and no act of service is insignificant. Whether someone is praying in secret, offering wisdom, setting up chairs, welcoming a stranger, or standing beside someone in need, everyone is valuable in God's kingdom.
